Daddy's Little Girl: 5 Songs Jay-Z Will Regret

I've heard it said nothing transforms a man like having a baby girl. So news that Jay-Z and Beyoncé are having a daughter could mean we will never see or hear from the old Shawn Carter again. Old Jay-Z: "hard dick and bubble gum". New Jay-Z: poopy diapers and baby food.

It’s the beginning of a new era in hip hop. The Old Man Rap era. And a lot of emcees are gonna have some ‘splainin’ to do. Hov, to his jeweler’s credit, has always talked more Maybachs and ice, than about his sidepiece and wife. So he won’t have as much umm, err, umm stammering to contend with as, say, Kanye. But here's five songs we still expect to be removed from Lil Hovita’s iPod.

Jay-Z Songs He Doesn't Want His Daughter to Hear [Grantland]

  1. "It's Hot" from Life and Times, V. 3: "I give my ladies dick - my young hoes? Pee-pee."

  2. ha. that line is great.

as a Lady, would you take the laugh, or do you censor the laugh to preserve feminist sanctity?

  3. It is great, but also a little bit of a cringe factor - I mean, it's something Redman would say, over the line - which is so not Jay-Z - but then, that IS Jay-Z - absorbing the creative vision of other rappers.

It makes me laugh... but ew. Try calling it a pee-pee the next time we're in that position with young tumblrer... - report back.

  4. I'd never seen the Girls video. <3! Am I crazy to think that this is (further) indication of Jay's essential feminist nature?

  5. i mean it! he likes girls who cook and clean and hot execs. there's even a sporty chick in there.
