Dear TAN: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

I once started a neverending interview, but now we're switching to a "Dear TAN" feature. Send your questions/letters to theassimilatednegro [at] gmail [dot] com.

In this edition: TAN's raising a baby!

Dear TAN,

How did you become assimilated?

Dear r,

I don't know exactly. Maybe my father held me by my ankle and dipped me in the river styx?

I went to two private boarding schools -- Choate Rosemary Hall and Pomfret School. Then Trinity College ... all located in connecticut.

I think those institutions represented the heart of it.

thank for the note.

Dear TAN,

wow boarding school......im not that assimilated...cool for you though. would it be too much trouble if from time to time i occasionally asked you some cultural questions to aid in me not being a totally lame white parent to a black child? if you are too busy i understand......

so far we have learned...moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

  2. TAN, please also tell R that hair maintenance is also VERY important. I can't tell you how many sleepless nights I've spent worrying about Angelina and Brad's capabilities in properly grooming Baby Z's coif...let's hope they throw some money at the problem and hire Tyra's hair stylist...

Carrot oil is best when greasing the hair. If a product has petroleum, DON'T USE IT. Try to get carrot oil with at least three natural things posted first in the ingredients (i.e. soybean oil.) I also recommended treasuredlocks.com for any other questions.
